Three of Hearts

Mae Turney is searching for the type of life and happiness she has never known but has only dreamed about. She’s fortunate enough to find a great opportunity to live in an exterior apartment of a beautiful lake house in a small town in Vermont. When she realizes the apartment and scenery are not the only gorgeous appeal but the home owner, Seth Finn, is as well, she puts it all on the line for the chance at love. When she becomes comfortable and confident in her own skin and sexuality, Mae realizes that this place and this man is exactly what she came looking for. Knowing Seth and his three children are as special as they come, Mae bets the house, and prays she and her gamble are enough.

This book was a good read for me. Seth is a widower with 3 young children. He owns his own construction company and is rugged, handsome, and a great Father. He has a beautiful two family home on a lake in Vermont. His Sister lives in the in-law apartment, she is moving out to live with her fiance. She interviews the tenant applicants for her brother, and she meets Mae.

Mae is nurse who just moved from Boston and needs a new place as soon as possible. She ends up moving in quickly, and she fits right in with Seth and his three children. Seth and Mae’s attraction to each other is impossible for them to resist, they start falling in love, their attraction turns into HOT burning desire and they jump right in feet first! The passion jumps off the pages and I thought my kindle may melt. I also loved how the relationships between Seth’s children and Mae evolved. Very touching read that will make you appreciate life, family bonds, and friendship.

Everything was going great, until Seth finds out Mae didn’t tell him about one of his sons doing something behind his back. This is when things change. Seth’s behavior towards Mae shocked me! Things start falling apart and Seth takes drastic measures to get Mae back into their lives.
