Synopsis
Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.

Through it all, there’s been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he’s ever had to fight for.

*****5 Enticing, Beautiful, Passionate, Sexy, Intimate, Challenging, Riptidelicious and Powerful, Possessive Yet Tender Remy Stars!!!

There are things you’re certain about. That you’d bet your life on. Things that you just know. You know the heat of a fire will burn you. Water will quench your thirst. She is one of those things; the most unerring certainty of my life. ~ Remy

WOW!! What a treat to look into the mind of an amazing character. The human brain itself in general is already a fascinating organ. But to see how it work from a person with bipolar even though it’s fiction, completely blew my mind. Katy Evans did an excellent job giving us a view into Remington Tate’s mind.

REMY is made up of parts from the first two books, REAL and MINE including present events all from Remy’s POV (Point of View). I strongly encourage readers to read those two books first so REMY make sense. Writing this review is going to be tough because I absolutely hate giving even a tiny bit of a spoiler. In the meantime, here’s my review I wrote for REAL and MINE if you want to check it out.

MINE ~ http://sweettreatblogblog.com/reviews/mine/

Let’s see what I can conjure up…hmmm… thinking hard…

Remy…my sweet gentle hunk of a tree. Remy is an unique, complex, special and damaged character. But he’s a fighter, he takes what he wants and never gives up. He’s possessive and protective. He may have lots of issues but who doesn’t? It’s all the issues he faces that have shaped him into the strong, confident, cocky, determine yet compassionate person he is now. He never let any setbacks deter his desire to move forward. From the moment he set his eyes on Brooke Dumas, he made it his mission to pursue her until she was completely his. As he falls deeper and deeper for Brooke, his desire to claim her becomes stronger but he still resist. He wanted her to accept the real him, Remington Tate not Riptide, both sides of him, the blue and the black. But he’s also afraid that once she knows about his condition, she might leave him.

“Why’d you want to have sex with me? To have a fucking adventure? What was I suppose to be? Your one-night fucking stand? I’m every woman’s adventure, damn you, and I don’t want to be yours. I want to be your fucking real. You get that? If I fuck you, I want you to belong to me. To be mine. I want you to give yourself to me — not fucking Riptide!” ~ Remy

“You’ll leave me the second it gets too steep, and you’ll leave me with nothing ~ when I want you like I’ve never wanted anything in my life. You’re all I think about, dream about. I get high and low and it’s all about you now, it’s not even about me anymore. I can’t sleep, can’t think, can’t concentrate worth shit anymore, and it’s all because I want to be the fucking ‘one’ for you, and as soon as you realize what I am, all I’ll be is a fucking mistake!” ~ Remy

“How can you be a mistake? Have you seen you? Have you seen what you do to me? You had be at hello, you fucking asshole! You make me want you until it hurts and then you wont do shit!” ~ Brooke

MINE completely broke me but REMY managed to put me back together.

In Remy, I felt like I was re-living the same events over again like deja vu but in a different light. It really opened up a whole new perspective of the human mind. Remy may be a man with few words and showing any form of feelings is not part of his character, but his mind never stops working. Every action, every movement, every chosen song was carefully thought through. Remy’s a championship fighter. He fights hard but he loves harder. Hid behind all the silent rapport is an emotional, sweet, tender, sexy and loving man. I admire the courage, self control and determination Remy has when dealing with his condition. Never once was he discouraged but even if he was, he’d pick himself up, and do what he needed to do to bring himself back from black to blue. He may be very protective and possessive and I totally get him, he takes care and treasures what’s his. He never let anyone harm his family or his little firecracker, Brooke Dumas.

As much as I loved this book, I wish it had been a little longer. It would have been perfect. There’s more to Remy’s mind I would love to read about. Overall, this was an intriguing read. I highly recommend it but not without reading REAL and MINE first. **Lady H
