PULSE (Volume 2)

(Also by Lady possibly with Chick giggling at her)

2 unbearable months later…

FINALLY…Pulse was released!!!! OMG! OMG! OMG! I was beside myself!

5 Fucking Stars!!! Wait!! I don’t give a flying fuck that the max is 5! It deserves 10 bright and shinny stars! This book is beyond brilliant and beyond perfection! The series is so fucking good. I have to honestly say it’s on par with Fifty Shades, Crossfire Series, Thoughtless Series, Beautiful Disaster and whatever series out there. It is absolutely unbelievable!

After a devastating cliffhanger and months of waiting for Pulse to be released, I finally get the conclusion to Gavin and Emily’s story.

Have you ever read a book that every time you see, touch or think it that you feel it in your heart? That’s how I feel about this series. I could read this series over and over and not get tired of it. This series makes me want to meet the brilliant creator to such beautifully written characters and quotes. Collide and Pulse have entered my life so unexpectedly and brought me so much joy and memories, happy memories. I truly admire Emily Cooper having a man like Gavin Blake love her unconditionally. I want what she has. I want a man to cherish and love me the way Gavin loves Emily. Is that too much to ask? The author did such a beautiful job in creating the story and the characters that they are simply unforgettable. Every sentence flowing smoothly to the next like silk. Simply breathtaking. I have books that I really love but this series no doubt I will cherish a lot and remain close to my heart forever. I would be lying through my teeth if I tell you all will sail smoothly in this book. Get ready for an emotional journey through Pulse. There will be laughter, tears, anguish, hurt and sex. You will be swooning over Gavin like I did and I can guarantee that. The romance is absolutely unforgettable, breathtaking and intense. It will crush you but don’t worry, you will be able to pick up the pieces and put it back together in no time flat, I promise. This series is a MUST READ! No arguments whatsoever! If you don’t, I will personally come hunt you down! And I’m NOT kidding!

Warning: Since this is a series and you must absolutely, positively read Collide first to understand the mumble jumble of my review, please go read it pronto. This review will be here waiting for you when you are done. Are we clear on this? Good!

Now, where was I…Oh yes…

When there’s a devastating cliffhanger, it means… a sad beginning to this book which I was not looking forward to but I bit my tongue, took in a deep breath of air and started reading. Gavin and Emily was apart at the end of Collide so that makes them apart here. And holy molly! The wedding rehearsal scene was intense, right? It was the most intense and heartbreaking part to read and visualize Gavin getting his heart broken by the woman he would ever love in his existence and the thing that make me so sick to my stomach is that Gavin did nothing wrong. This was the part that I so wish I could jump into my Kindle, grab Emily and slap her silly. If you all read Collide, you should know that Emily broke Gavin’s heart to smithereens and left Douchepickle Dillon. With utter remorse for not believing Gavin and fear of losing him forever, Emily took off looking for him and could only hope that he will forgive her.

Tick-tock…

So…this brings us to where Collide left us last, Emily on her way to Gavin’s penthouse. Was he there? HELL NO!!! Duh! Did you think Gail would give us a break after that massive heart broken cliffhanger she gave us? She’s not that nice I tell ya!!

With his heart ripped to shreds, Gavin needed to get the fuck out of New York, off the grid, far away from everything that reminds him of Emily. That night, Gavin boarded his private jet and left for Mexico with a broken and heavy heart in hope that it will mend with time. But he knew better, nothing would ever take his pain away. He loved Emily. She’s the the air he breath and he would be deprived of it forever. My heart aches so badly for Gavin. Love is suppose to be a beautiful thing and yet it can hurt one so massively. Sniff…sniff…

After nine days of misery and not hearing a single news about Gavin, Emily’s heart sank further to the pit of her stomach until she found out he has up and left New York for Playa del Carmen, Mexico from his brother Colton. With his help, Emily’s boarded Blake Industries’ private jet, on her way to fight  for the man she love that she so stupidly let go.

Tick-tock…

Four hours and fifteen mins was what’s keeping Emily and Gavin apart. Determined not to let another minute pass by without seeing Gavin, she went to his house. And guess what? Gail!!!!!!!! GAVIN’S NOT THERE AGAIN!!!!! Oh…Uh…wait a minute…what just happened?

You want to know what happened? You do? You really really do? Then why are you still here reading this? Go get the bloody book and read it yourself. You didn’t really expect me to feed it to you , did you? But what I can tell you is that what happened next is very intense. Nothing between Emily and Gavin is smooth sailing (No shit!). There’s going to be some doubts, angst, intensity, love, lust and sex of course. Just when you think all is hunky dory and be at where it’s supposed to be, you get hit with a curveball and Douchenugget Dillon is back in their lives. This is an unthinkable rocky life journey Gavin and Emily have to go through. They have so many challenges ahead of them and past that have to be rid off or fix. Is their love for each other enough to survive this? Get ready and come on this challenging and yet beautiful journey with Gavin and Emily to find their happy ever after. Come find out if they did indeed have bucketloads of babies and a green minivan. Come experience the incredible love Gavin and Emily have for each other. This book is so beautifully written that you will be in book hangover when you hit the last page.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the book without giving too much of the story away.

“I want to break the rules with you. Kiss you passionately every day. Make you smile when you’re about to cry. I want no regrets with us. I want us to laugh together until we can’t breathe and it hurts. No man will ever love you the way I’m going to love you, Emily. You’re it. My last. My forever.” ~ Gavin Blake

“You breathe life into me, and I love you in more ways than I thought I was capable of loving, but you’re more than I feel I deserve.” ~ Gavin Blake

“I’m going to break you, Emily Cooper. I’m going to break you down and slowly build you back up. Second by second, piece by piece, and memory by memory, I’m going to make you realize you’re worth what I’m going to give to you. If I have to open a dictionary every day and make you stare at the word ‘worth’, I’ll do it. I’ll even paste a picture of me next to it.” ~ Gavin Blake

“I can’t promise you it’ll always be sweet and tender because you and I fight hard. But I’m pretty sure it won’t be a horror ride either because you and I love even harder. What I can promise is you’ll always mean more to me than my next breath, and it’ll always be you in my life. No one else.” ~ Gavin Blake

Gavin… Gavin… Gavin…How can anyone not fall in love with him? My Yankee, bottle caps and 20 questions loving mega millionaire playboy Gavin has a heart of a saint. He’s sweet, loving, tender, noble, badass, intense, charming, smart and shmexy. Who wouldn’t want a perfect guy like Gavin? He is so swoon worthy, such a sweetheart and what a smooth talker.  He’s simply PERFECT. Without a doubt, Gavin will forever be my No.1 book boyfriend. He trump Christian Grey, Kellen Kyle and Travis Maddox in swoon worthy points.

Gail McHugh, YOU FUCKING ROCK!! I. LOVE. YOU! Thank you for having the courage to pursue your talent and not sit on it. Without you, Gavin Blake would just be an imagination buried in your talented mind. Thank you for writing such wonderful romance and giving us Gavin Blake and Emily Cooper. Welcome to the limelight! Please keep writing.
