The field is set.
The lines are drawn.
Which side is right
Or are any wrong?
Life is a fragile thing, not only in the mortal sense. It’s like a big glass ball waiting above your head, and sometimes one simple thing can send the glass crashing down around you into a million tiny pieces. All you can do when this happens is stand by and watch as the pieces of your life fall, shatter, and settle around you. You have two choices: You can try and piece them back together one by one. Or you can start all over and try to build a new one. Hopefully a better one. Somewhere in between those two options is where you find the person you’re actually meant to be. The person that’s somehow strong enough to take destiny face on, no matter how impossible that may seem.
Calandra thought she lived a normal enough life. She fought constantly with her dad, like any other teenage girl. She had a boyfriend that she knew was it for her. School was coming to an end, and she was going to have all summer to spend with Tristan, while her father was out of town. it doesn’t get much better than that. But when a stranger comes to her in a dream, life takes an unexpected turn. Calandra is thrown into a whirlwind where she discovers the heritage her father has been hiding from her for years, learns of a whole new world, and finds that destiny doesn’t always hand you the life you dreamed of. Now, the question is- can she handle it all? Will she accept what she’s meant to be?
In the first installment of the Euphoria series, Field of Innocence shows us that not all Faerie tales start with once upon a time or end with happily ever after. Sometimes Destiny is far too dark to give us a normal faerie tale!
I always love a book with magical, mystery, love, immagination! Field Of Innocence did not disappoint. Calandra’s last day of junior high is finally here. She is driving when all of a sudden she sees a vision of her Mother whom passed away shortly after she was born. Next thing she knows her Mother is pulling her into the water, she feels the ice cold water fill her lungs! Next thing she’s back in her truck trying to catch her breath. Shenhas had visions in the past, however this one seemed too real.
Calandra has a sweet, handsome boyfriend, Tristan, and a Father she has never got along with. Tristan is always there for Calandra and loves her very much. Calandra has always had a feeling that something was a miss in her life, she can’t figure out what it is. She has a special place she loves to go to relax, it’s a beautiful field with grass, flowers, dragonflies and this one particular tree she’s drawn to. She has a vision where she meets Jarreth, he is handsome, eyes that she is drawn to and she feels an immediate connection to him. He shows her a small area that she’s never noticed before it’s a portal to Faeire, a magical and dangerous place where Fae’s live.
Shortly after her vision her life completely changes, she is now living in a magical place with powers she doesn’t know she has. There is Jarreth who is kind and wants to help her, but he seems mysterious and is keeping something from her. Then there’s Drake, he’ dark, handsome and he also wants to help her. They are both drawn to her as she is to them. Tristan is there too, however he somewhat keeps his distance. She soon finds out that someone is not whom she thought, and she is going to need all of her strength, power, and magic, and soon, but she needs to be very careful who she chooses to trust. She has the power to make the world a beautiful place however, she needs to choose wisely.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series, Hollow Of Treason.
