Broken by J.B. McGee

Synopsis: Gabby’s life has been anything but easy. She is surrounded by friends who seem to have everything she doesn’t: money, social standing, and happily married parents. While dealing with the loss of her mother, she experiences her first heartbreak. She commits herself to her studies and runs away from any emotions that aren’t safe. Bradley Banks, a confident CEO and commercial architect, who has long time commitment issues forces Gabby to feel again, but will he be her next heartbreak?

Adult-content rating: This book contains content considered unsuitable for young readers 17 and under, and which may be offensive to some readers of all ages.

Review: Broken is the first book in this spell binding trilogy! We meet Gabby who has self esteem issues and is broken from past issues, and betrayals! She is shy when it comes to meeting men. She made a promise to her dying Mother, but when her eyes meet with Bradley’s at a friends wedding she has a hard time remembering that promise! He is easily the hottest man in the room, and their attraction in undeniable!

I couldn’t help but fall in love with Bradley! He’s patient with Gabby, he can sense how shy and insecure she is so he knows he needs to tread lightly! He doesn’t “do” relationships, but he’s drawn to Gabby and she is all he think about. Their first meeting at the wedding doesn’t end well, but Bradley is determined to find Gabby, and with the help of her sister, Sam he’s given another chance to win Gabby over.

I like that we have alternating point of views throughout the book. We really get to know Gabby and Bradley! I wished this book was a little bit longer, however that said I really loved it!
