Warren “War” Jinkins is that guy.
The bad one.
Tempest’s ex front man, an arrogant rock god.
The only thing larger than his ego is his capacity for self-destruction.
His bad attitude has cost him. His woman. His best friend. His band. Everything.
Shaina Bentley is that girl.
The good one.
Hollywood’s pink candy-coated sweetheart.
The star of Pinky Swear, television’s top rated teen show.
She’s been practically perfect since that horrible day. But she’s starting to crack under the strain of being everything to everyone.
He’s a one man island. She’s a fragile captive soul.
Is love a current too dangerous to cross or will it be the bridge that brings them together?
*Author note: Each book in the Tempest series features a different band member and can stand alone.*
As I have been blessed to be part of the backstage pass holders of the Tempest concerts seeing this come to fruition has been an experience. I fell in love with gritty world of faerietale and real life that Michelle wrapped together so intricately. But this book proved the most provocative. Emotions on a merry go round. Painted ponies of live, anger, sadness, hope, remorse and enlightenment ride up and down in a captivating circle. A bridge to start it, a bridge between worlds, a bridge between dark and light, one to cross over and none left to burn. In the end, you may finally have the answers to the questions, not only for Warren but those you’ve been asking yourself. Michelle Mankin is love.
My journey with Michelle Mankin started off quietly and has slowly and fabulously blossomed into an amazing friendship of the heart soul and mind. When she began writing the Tempest series and came to me for inspiration, guidance, laughter and stories I was honored, embarrassed and elated. Who knew that all we shared would one day lead to me getting my very own 15 minutes of fame.
That being said, today the big release of, Captivating Bridge I am full of tears of joy and overcome with pride for my wonderful friend. She has truely reached into my heart and soul and brought it to life. Captivating by far is my favorite book that has passed through her mind and I am not just saying that to be smarmy.
A gritty rock and roll romance that wraps to unrelenting souls trapped in their own stone towers in a situation that makes you wonder if they can save each other let alone themselves. It takes a harder look at the real life issue of depression and suicide and all the emotional baggage that happens to not just the individual but every life it touches. Captivating takes your breath away with sadness and fills you up with a new hope of tomorrow.
This is a very personal story for me, and as I read each page (which I haven’t seen since it was in the very rough stages) I realize just how much my soul sister’s ethereal nature reaches out and embraces the world around her. I am so proud of you Michelle. Happy release day sweetness.
