Review: I was given a copy of this book to read and give an honest review about. This book pulled me in and wouldn’t let go! If I didn’t have such a busy life I could have sat down and finished it in one sitting! Avalynn didn’t always have a hard life as a child, but bad things started to happen when her dad lost his job and things just weren’t going right. He started to drink heavily. He would abuse her mom and then he started abusing her. He would tell her how she had ruined his life and that she wasn’t worth anything. She ran away from it all, but later on she found out her mother had given birth to another daughter. She couldn’t let her sister live a life that she had escaped. So she went back for her. She woke up in the hospital and was told that her father had beat her within an inch of her life and then committed suicide. They couldn’t find the body of her mother. Avalynn ended up getting a teaching degree, moving to a new city and starting a new life for her and her sister. She worked as a teacher during the day and at a bar at night. That’s where the band “In Spades” would play. And one of the members of the band was HOT! His name was Daxton, but everyone called him Dax. She was used to seeing girls all over him trying to get his attention. One night she finally decided to see if she could get his attention. Things took off from there! This story is amazing! I don’t want to go any further and risk spoiling anything else. I will warn that the ending has a cliff hanger! Which totally stunned me! I finished reading the book and just stared at my kindle like “WTF? It cannot end like that!” My imagination is running rampant right now! AAAAAHH!! I seriously cannot wait for the next book. K. Pinson better hurry up! LOL! I give this book 5 glowing stars!
