We had the extreme pleasure of reviewing this tasty treat before it made it’s little ole trolley stop on our tour and this is what Chick had to say about it :

Madison Lebon is a certified voodoo princess. No really, she is. Like from Louisiana and everything. And her family well they have going on’s with the dead. Now she is in Oxford and hoping that the dead stay dead and leave her be. All is well until she sees a painting that changes her life and the life of those around her.

This book had me from the get go, it was a little twisty turny and a lot of names to remember but it had just the right mix of romance, paranormal and suspense to get my blood racing. You have Madison, a sassy gal from the south who can see the dead. You have her best friend’s Pippa and Ollie, wacky but sweet wonderful personalities in their own right who stick by Madison’s side. You have Jackson, Madison’s very hot history professor who kind of sets this whole story rolling by accident and then you have Rupert. Sweet, sexy stunningly want to touch him in a dark room Rupert. A young Englishman with a noble background and troubled roots.

Oxford whispers is a truly tragic love story for everyone involved, from those in the painting to those in the real world. There was such a great love for art and history in these words that it was beautiful to behold. Although I found it a little hard to follow at times because of the time jumping, when it sucked you in, there was no putting down the book (even when pouring scalding water in a teacup…that is talent). It was a very good read and will keep your heart pumping and all snuggly on a cold night. Can’t wait to see where Madison’s next adventure takes us.

Book Description:

Madison LeBon is dead set against the dead. She has vowed to ignore her Voodoo-stamped heritage and the psychic gift passed down through her Louisiana family. The world of the living is where she wants to belong.

But her resolution shatters when the tragic lovers in a painting—the subject of her first history class at Oxford—begin to haunt her. The lovers warn her against their own nemesis, a Puritan from the English Civil War.

College becomes more complicated when Madison falls hard for Rupert Vance, a troubled aristocrat and descendant of one of the characters in the painting. With the spirit of a murderer after her, she realizes that her own first love may also be doomed…

About the fantastic author:

In addition to being an author, I work as an entrepreneur, wife and mother-of-one but spend a good deal of time with books, DVDs and listening to my mp3 player; all for the sake of inspiration, of course.

My debut series, The Oxford Trilogy, has been a blast to write because I can indulge in my favorite types of music: Country and English rock.

My main goal as a writer is to make readers dream bigger and cause their hearts to beat a little faster.
Since my writing is all about sharing dreams and stories, I love connecting with fellow readers and authors.
